Dripping Kisses

Dripping Kisses

A Poem by Choosing Life

Lips dripping kisses
Of a memory so vivid
I can feel it
Remembering me
I can feel it remembering
When I had your heart in me
And I watched the sun rise
And set in your eyes
Long before good bye
Your hands held me so tight
Generations of love in you and I
The whole Universe watching
The way we danced on the sandy beach
Under a canopy of stars
Big bands played Glen Miller tunes
I think I saw Nat King Cole crooning
From the moon
A rose fell and died
But fireflies brought it back to life
And inside me butterflies
Fell in love with the way our touch
Made the rhythm and blues come to life
Romantic sways
And cuddling days
Sweetly tuned in my head
The words in my heart
Still kiss my soul
Tongues roaming
Entangling themselves
Around each other
Until our thirst was quenched
And dew drenched
Every inch of our skin
Why did the music have to end?
Yet in some nights in December
I hear love remember us
And tender moments flood the skies
The stars align to create the night
A beautiful scene from our yesterdays
And the moon asks Nat to stay awhile
And I pause
As lips drip kisses
Of a memory so vivid
I can feel it
I can feel it
Remembering me
