Inquisitive Now

 

My smiling soul is inquisitive now

Wanting to know is My Love, found, under your brows,

The mind… that makes sense of all of this.

The friend I can share my whole life with.

A questioning that sounds off like alarm bells

As I am carried away helplessly under your spell..

Hypnotized at times by moments lost in your eyes

And at times your smile seems ingrained within

Following the traces of your soul, guiding my pen…

Thinking of you till there is no end…

As I try to mask how much each moment, spent,

Passes way to fast …

And I ache until at last, your arms hold me in their grasp.

Jumping when the phone does ring

Only wanting to hear you voice upon answering.

I sit unsure of how to hold on to myself,

 And let go of this desperate need,

To have you become one with me. 

My smiling soul is inquisitive now,

As thoughts give way to the smile you birth,

And how I wonder what it would be like to be your earth.

 

You are My Moon and Sun…

And ocean waves pattern the rhythm of the tide

 of your love colliding with mine…

Seconds apart move much to slow,

And hours together shared, melt to seconds,

As if they were never there.

Leaving fresh imprints on the walls of my memory,

That speak to me religiously,

Giving sermons in your honor,

And offering up new hopes for Our Tomorrow.

While I live to testify of this miracle being,

That was hand carved from my greatest dreams.

As I whisper I love you from my soul…

Wanting, needing, and hoping to know,

Could you finally be the One that has been avoiding me?

Could you be the One for which I prayed?

The one I hoped to love beyond our grave?
