Insanity

You're mind always sticks to one thing, him.

You're eyes always fall to the same thing, him.

You're heart only flutters for one man, him.

His words only claim to love one woman, her.

In law his heart belongs to one girl, her.

Yet his mind always trails back to the same thing, you.

This took a solid five minutes, and its super simple... What do you think?

It would be nice if anyone could ever truly know both sides. This scores points for being relatable, and I have admit, there aren't enough happy endings from what I've read on this site so far, so it was quite refreshing! If this is what you can do in 5 minutes, I'd like to read what you can do in an hour!

I really like this poem. So short and simple, but so neatly sums up a kind of obsession. And the intuition (or is it just a guess or hope) that maybe the object of the feeling is in denial about his real feelings. I think the title "Insanity" is very appropriate for this poem :)
