I Kill The Days

I Kill The Days

A Poem by tj808

I kill the days, really I do; I kill them
Slowly they waste away like plastic
On a smelly rotting tip; exposed
So violently as a reminder Of needless
waste Nothing so grand as me the
helping hand These days just speak
out Their wretched self indulgence
Even inhuman As the sun shines
today It shouts for grace To bathe
in it's glorious light Only I hide away
In a four-walled darkness -
With a snake-like mental illness.

This is realy good, you aren't wasting your time if you are thinking and then writing poetry like this. I bet there is more people can relate to this than are willing to let on. Nice write.

About
I've written poetry since my teens. I am now 50+. I have changed my style over the years and I read my old poetry with some embarrassment - as I will in 10 years time when I read the poetry I write no.. more..
