Conceded

Conceded

A Poem by tlaner

Did you ever, stop,
to breathe?
Grasp the pulsing dreams
that escape my head.
Adorned freely upon the path,
bleached and tanned tainted things.
Why than must you crush instead of
caress?

Lie well and tormentingly,
seen by all but me.
Why create these sores?
Bandaged and bruised apathetic failures,
attempts at trust denied.
Lust bargained bribed and
brushed aside.
An echo of regret
that you left.

You can sing a chord
strike affection among all,
heartless beauty only meant to submit
to your own life.
Selfish tattered life
I covet.

Hey, this is a very nice poem. I like all that you talk about, especially the last stanza.
Good job and you should definitely start writing again, tlaner.
Keep it up,
-Penelope H.
