Something

Something

A Poem by Anor

Haunted by the... something of her past,
What it was, she couldn't quite remember,
She tried to think of what she thought last,
And in her head began to render

"Al...Zye?: The words eluded her mind,
Just a distant thought left to eternity,
Had she once been kind?
Young? Energetic? Pretty?

Maybe it was best that it was gone,
Lost in the infinitely vast sands of time,
Still, in her head memories clamoured to be drawn,
Singing along to a distant yet near rhyme.

Without them, sanity was hard to come by,
She felt lost, and then lost again.
Towards close... friends? She was oft shy,
Her warped consciousness her own bane.

Her hand shakes, the knife it holds unsteady,
A shadow draws over her eyes,
She puts it to her throat, her life, she is ready
To sink into a new world after her pointless demise.
