Beautiful Pain

Beautiful Pain

A Poem by Taylor Marie Cecilia
"

okay so the line beautiful faces and lovely places is from "Flowers in the Attic" but i thought it would be cool to turn it into a poem. soooo

"

Beautiful faces and lovely places.

Frantic chases and screwed up mazes.

Seeing the world beneath the grass,

and never doing what you've been asked.

The true sought face covered by a mask.

The love of life always lacked.

The lonliness somewhat slacked,

feeling as if you've been smacked,

for anything and everything you've ever lacked.

Life is made of twisted ways,

made of twisted dreams.

Awaking with soul-shattering screams,

only to augment the pain,

in the most torturous of ways.

With only your life to pay.

I don't know. After a time we don't even feel the pain anymore. The poem is very strong and I like the statements about life and disappointments. A very good ending to a excellent poem.
