unnoticed by the crowd

unnoticed by the crowd

A Poem by tokyo frizbee

Summer slipped away unnoticed by the crowd
Too busy seeing simple things
Too late now, it has gone
To someplace far and new
Then front side up against night sky
Cold wind skips across your skin
The truth of night will shock us all
The moment that we snatched from time
Slips away unnoticed by the crowd
And from afar we saw it all
We felt it in the summer breeze
We held it till it struggled free
Sometimes I feel it in the air
I think I hear it in the trees
I slip its grip most every time
Unnoticed by the crowd
