Night Shift

Night Shift

A Poem by Tiberio Tano

I'm back in the zone

The twilight zone

Unsure of up or down

Comfortably floating

Embraced by dense clouds

Of mental fog

My shroud of proud achievement

You capture that feeling of being in that time where others are sleeping and feeling that outside the "world" disconnect that being on a night shift causes. You have said it well in a small number of words, I am impressed with that.

I wrote it at work after eight months of grave shift. Just a little word play. Thank you.
