Fleeting Despair

Fleeting Despair

A Poem by topsyturvy

She sits alone in a room full of people.

She talks to herself..

While others stare and linger.

She glares at them..  Gives them the finger.

They laugh and gawk,

as she screams and hurls

Madness unfurls.

Looking deep into those soulful eyes

You can feel the depth of her soul.

Twin black swirls of darkness

Underneath the shadow of beauty she weeps.

Tearless... She stares, pleading.

Love has made her heart like stone.

Yet....

Underneath it all.. She breaks into pieces.

Putting up with everyone around her

Little by little....

Her facade breaks.
