Memory Tree

Memory Tree

A Poem by torscot
"

from my window a cherry tree so beautiful autumn leaves rusting away

"

your memory tree is
dropping leaves now

I shall collect another leaf
to press in your old book

of scribbled dreams
and wishes

the gardener says
the tree needs cutting back

the word cutting
slices my

heart
in two
