A Poem by Tara Prudden
"

Poerty on WW1 or 2 take your pick, both horrific!

"
Words

Words of a forgotten son
who laid down his gun
he gave up the ghost that day
when he walked away
and said goodbye
to the shadows what come
on that fateful day.
Novembers rain
has come again
to wash away
his pain
a mother cries
for the son she lost
on that christmas day.

War is hard on a nation, but in particular, it is hard on mothers of soldiers who fight those battles.
A sad tale indeed.

Heavy words; profound words. Too many parents in history have had to carry this painful burden upon their shoulders and their heart. Good writing, Tara.
