Love Star

This poem was written to comfort a friend when her mother passed away

God came down,

And took me home today.

Which blocked your sun,

And put clouds in your way.

When you get to heaven,

Beside me you will stand.

Again we will smile,

And I will hold your hand.

I know you will miss me,

A little less each day.

And it will get easier,

For you to find your way.

 

I want you to know,

I will always be around.

When you feel all alone,

Just know I’m looking down.

I may be just the wind,

Blowing through a tree.

But when you need someone,

Close your eyes and there I’ll be.

I want to make you feel,

That I am never too far.

Look to the sky at night and see,

My love shining from a star.
