False Hopes

False Hopes

A Poem by Treble
"

“Lies”

"
Tell me my future is bright.
Tell me I'll be okay.
Tell me I'll be stronger in the end.
Tell me loss will get easier.
Tell me I won't lose everyone.
Tell me I won't become my dad.
Tell me you know these things,
then tell me you can't predict the future.
Tell me you've been where I am
and you made it through
so I will too,
then tell me everyone is different.
Tell me you won't ever leave me,
then tell me you're leaving me.
