Depression

My mind is filled with darkness inside,

why can't i just go away and hide?

I am crawling to find something bright,

something beautiful like the northern light.

I need to escape from this frightening, dark hole,

feeling like the world is trapping my soul.

People keep bringing me down,

Feeling that all they want is for me to drown.

Keep fighting until i can see the sun?

Or would you say that i am done?

It can often feel that others are out to harm us when we are down this low. The fact is our thinking is very skewed and of a defensive almost primal bent. The smallest of criticism can seem like an all out personal attack and God forbid we get into an actual argument - it would seem like attempted murder against us. We need to get perspective Annie.
Writing helps. Well done. Forgive yourself.
I know when Im down I wouldnt even pick a pen up.
