Pointless

Pointless

A Poem by Trivén

Tongueless frogs cannot eat
Throatless people cannot sing
Beakless woodpeckers can't hold a beat
Limbless monkeys food cannot bring

Faceless shadows on the walls
Colorless silhouettes in the light
Countless ups eventually falls
Clueless in the dead dark night

Ruthless men make up the rich
Hopeless men make up the poor
Dreamless men make up the middle
Headless men make up the dead

the first stanza is surreal and trippy. the second sounds like it's coming from a jaded person. the third conveys despair and surrender to the reality of it all. excellent poem.
