Know That I Too
We are never alone (a poem for mental health month)
Consumed

Consumed

A Poem by Trivén

Consumed slowly from deep within
Eaten on from the outside in
Soon I'm nothing but
the shell
of emptiness
I am
My surroundings corrosive environment
My insides rotten incubator
All feast upon me
but so far
my mind is free
I still am
Will I soon escape from myself?
Breaking the shell in which I'm contained
Running loose
Stroving free
Moving calmly these realms
that once me haunted
