Silicon Smile

Silicon Smile

A Poem by Poetic Poet
"

I wrote this for a contest...may fix it so its shorter

"

Cut open the anatomy
Rip out the mistakes
Fill those lips with silicon
Pay your flaws away
Scars leave the memories
Of what your thoughts once were
You’re ugly
Great
You’re beautiful
You found your plastic cure
***
“Movie star”
You understate
I’m a f*****g Queen
Take a picture
Of my brand new face
And put it in a magazine
Girls will want these brand new breasts
Like there going out of style
Shut up you who say they're gorgeous
They’ll love their new smile
***
Surgery is a fashion statement
Get it while it lasts
Can’t stand the way you look?
Pay for your new a*s
Come on and drop by
Get it while it’s hot
Wait a minute
What am I saying?
Don’t you love the way you are?
Who wants to look like MJ?
Or even Jeffrey Star
Hell, everyone, that’s who
You f*****g cheap imposter
Throw me down
Grab a scalpel
And make me your new doll
***
You poisoned me
With your stupid drugs that numb the pain away
Too bad, there isn’t surgery
To get me a new brain
Sticks and stones may break my bones
But surgery can fix them
I’m an addict and I know it
Come and take my pain away
***
Pain Pills come in a little glass vial
And they will numb the pain
But just give it a little while
It will return and you’ll remember
All the pain you're going through
Was it worth it for Popsicle lips?
And a few less pounds on your back door
Just say it now.
You’re stupid
And you’ll never be great
You could get the same results
With a little hard work
What is wrong with this planet?
Don’t they understand?
We're screwed up as it is
Do they really think this will fix it?
We are way past surgical procedure
The earth needs a miracle cure
And I don’t think a doctor
Will put it on your front door
We have to fight for it
Pay our dues with time
***
Suicide scars and beauty marks
Tell the story of your life
Is your life worth remembering?
(The parts when you weren’t under the knife)
Tell me now
What? can’t you speak?
Or are you lips too swollen?
Next time why don’t you just starve yourself
And do us all a favor?
***
I can’t remember a time when self esteem
Was lower
I can’t remember a time
When teens loved themselves
I can’t remember a time
When war was not waging
And I can’t remember a time
When I wasn’t mad about it

***
We need to listen
To our children
Listen to ourselves
Before we lose ourselves
In imperfections
And cosmetics on the shelves
It’s the advertisement’s fault
They did this to our minds
If only we could once
Turn off the TV
And love ourselves
…I guess we can in time…
***
We are America
We f*****g have it all
We need to stop ourselves
And look on the bright side
Before we start to
F
A
L
L
Danm it’s too late
Do you hear me Covergirl?
Are you happy
You have your trademark
And your pretty little girls
But what about the rapists
And child molesters
Knocking at our front doors
It’s all your fault Maybeline
And you too Baby Phat
Showing us
What we can be
If we buy your stupid products
What if I don’t want to be Barbie?
With her stupid
Plastic smile
I want to be,
A better girl
Without a silicon body
***
Things are getting out of control
And we need to stop it now
Stop this
I’m so ugly
I’m so fat
And worry about something
ELSE!
There are children out there dying
And toddlers being raped
Teenaged girls
Sleeping around
So there mother will love her again
There are bigger problems out there
Than who had sex with who
Who has a bigger nose
And who gets it fixed first
Bigger needs then
Bigger b***s
And lips,
That stiffens a man
Worse problems
Then wanting to be perfect
Wanting to be loved
For your looks
For your body
For your talent in the sack
Put down your checks
Put down your wallet
And listen to your children
What you do
Rubs off on them
And just because you didn’t know it
Doesn’t mean
That when you get work done
They won't want it too
Be there mother
Be there guidance
And make sure they use good judgment
