Dream Wedding

Dream Wedding

A Poem by truefromherheart

Flash her your smile,

What are white roses for anyway.

No doves in the sky,

No glam to sparkle,

Not even enough confidence.

I'm done with the games,

I can't keep playing hide and seek,

Looking for a heart

That never trusted me in the first place.

I spilled mustard and soda pop

All over my dress.

F**k it,

Never understood why they're all white.

Tear down my dreams,

Blow out all the tall candles,

Let the flowers die.

Maybe later I can play

With all the ruined petals,

But I already know it will end up

"He loves you not."
Thanks for the foresight.

Walk back down the aisle,

Alone, torn and tattered,

Right back where I always wake up.
