Carried Away

Carried Away

A Poem by Jb

It's a story book spring day

Like one that you would read your child about

Blue skies on every page

But hear I am beneath the trees

The skies all fading away

Instead I'm trudging through the river

Where I could possibly lose my stance

And fall

Letting the water carry me away

Maybe my caution would die down

Leting recklessness carry me away

Maybe I'd just gaze into the sun rays

Letting blindness carry me away

Or maybe I'll just get lost in my head

And let insanity carry me away

All on this story book spring day

If I do get carried away though

And erase the blue skies from each page

Please don't read that to your children...

I don't want the madness to carry them away to
