My breath stops

My breath stops

A Poem by thetish

My breath stops
     muscles tighten
As your hand closens in
     heart beating ecstatically

Your expression
      turns and twists deep inside
Engaging my soul directly
      so intimate and sincere

Deep and calm, ever present
      mystical eyes pulling
Ever wanting to know more
      staring and adoring

At night I search, imagine, dream
      still you're never there
No matter how I dare
you remain a fantasy of mine.

You brought those moments to life with your words. The reader can really "drown" in these lines that you have penned.
Some moments really take our breath away.

Thank you kindly.
Very intriguing. The poem really pulls you in. The only thing is that you wrote "breathe" when I think you meant "breath". Otherwise, it looks great!

Thank you.
This is so beautifully painful. There is a deep longing, and yet the longing is unfulfilled... only left forever in fantasy.
