Truth Bridge and Mirrors

Truth Bridge and Mirrors

A Poem by Ty
"

Peace

"
They say people across the bridge are different
Straight silly, strait cities, separate many.
Who's really
Independent
They say it's a lesser of two evils
I think it's a lesser of two people
Both of which most see through
The revolution is upon us
Conformed thoughts and shells clap, what's beneath you?
Law and order, Ha!
Cool story, poor moral, poor meals, porridge poured in them
Forcing men.
Pouring them more...
No.
More action?
Just four more
Four more body cams, four more training camps, for more conversations
...and we know we can't.
But we wait again.
Walls up. Boarded in

Most of us ghost
Disappear when the truth is near
Confessing sins, afraid of what the booth reveals
Or are you facing you, when the spook appears?
I mean, what's really on the inside?

I need a Groupon for all this dope
Head a futon to avoid my woke
Radio's on; good God. The word he spoke
Here's a coupon for the price of hope.

I like how it rhymes. This is such a catchy poem! I can kinda imagine this being a song.

"Truth Bridge and Mirrors"
Ty,
Your poem provided a "list" of possible introspective possibilities of the rantings of our world stage.
"Both of which most people see through." and "conformed shells clap." and "cool story, poor moral."
I found this as journalism in our media. What is revealed to be truth only twisted to fit the tingling ears of how people want it to be.
"Four more body cams, four more training camps, for more conversations." This is a signal of trouble
"most of us ghost. Disappear when the truth is near." Truth has always been the spin but even that depends on who's side we are on.
Great poem and very thought provoking.
Blessings,
Kathy
