Plight of the Sea Turtle

Plight of the Sea Turtle

A Poem by turtlegirlluver
"

Sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs every two years, but the beach could be too bright or all build up, so they return to sea. If we can help improve the beaches and also help them in others ways, they will be around for many years to come!

"

It’s the year to come ashore,

but the beach is not the same anymore.

Beach walls, less sand,

so much for her great plan.

A journey of a thousand miles

that ends without a smile.

We have a duty to help them out,

we have to teach others what they’re all about.

So lend them a hand,

clean the sand,

turn off beach lights,

and show people how to do it right.

These magnificent creatures,

with such astounding features,

are slowly dying away,

they need our help today.

Turtles deserve to stay around,

so they can still be found,

for many, many years.

Now that is something that deserves a cheer.

I love to perform, write, and read. I love sea turtles and want to save them. I am obsessed with music and listen to it any chance I get. I feel that writing is one of the best ways that I can express.. more..
