the sparrow

the sparrow

A Poem by Sarah

The Sparrow's feathers
Hanging as if wires are bound to them,
Hanging where the bird of death once flew,
As black as the blackest of nights,
The majestic bird flies amongst us
Giving us a tantalizing suspicion,
Something evil will happen and prevail,
This evil unheard of,
If it has been heard a myth,
Giving total darkness to the world,
Seeking havoc amongst nations
Not needing to hide its poisonous cry,
A sound so terrifying and evil,
It stops you in your very tracks,
Striking frivolous terror in minds,
Leaving thousands weak and terrified,
Leaving no one safe,
This bird effects everyone,
Everyone has to face this at some time,
Terrorized till they plead to die,
This black Sparrow, one small creature,
Heeding a warning to everyone,
Life has a constant reaping to all,
This black creature can be seen in night
As clear as can be to anyone,
Which scares people the most,
Leading to unforeseen actions,
Causing unknown actions,
Fading and appearing like a demon,
You can't hide,
Might as well join them,
The sparrow is of the dark one,
Join us and you will be rich
