All The While

All The While

A Poem by Sarah

All the while I thought you knew,

How my heart longed for love,

The feeling of being wanted and treasured,

These are not things that I have not pleasured,

When you left me standing there,

I thought that could not take a breath of air,

Before the fun and games you played,

You left me amazed,

I gazed into your eyes of wonder,

And that is when I would surrender,

You brought me up when I was down,

But then things changed,

You no longer wished to talk,

You said you didn't want to be my friend,

All the while, all the while,

I knew that love would never be mine.

I could really feel the depth, melancholy, and emotion in this piece. I could tell that it came from your heart by the feeling and depth of emotion you put into every line. Wonderfully expressed and beautifully written poetry.
