![]() A Kind of CrossA Poem by Paris HladA Kind of Cross
A Poem Written Over a Period Of Fifty Highly Passionate And Often Amusing Years
We have become a kind of cross: An intersection comprised of extremes -
But to just sit here is to languish On behalf of existential ennui,
While to venture further is to agitate On behalf of the repetitively absurd
Yet, a perfect cross May be extended
Over a perfect sphere -
And although its lines will for awhile Move farther and farther apart,
They will intersect again "
And again, and again
In exactly the same place As long as they continue
To extend. © 2023 Paris Hlad |
