A Beauty's Beck

A Beauty's Beck

A Poem by Paris Hlad

eAt Beauty’s Beckf

“Heard Melodies Are Sweet,

But Those Unheard Are Sweeter.”

-John Keats

---

Beauty is a lonely life " a broken way to be!

And I have paid an awful price

For seeing what I see

Within the rare

And commonplace,

In wonder, so divine!

That I am ever-guessing

What is God’s, or only mine:

 ---

The light doth fall in every age; the light doth fall on Man

But only those who seek a light will catch what light they can!

Such is a life at beauty’s beck; such is the life I lead "

Though I have known my share of light,

It’s beauty that I need:
