Where Beauty Is Enshrined

Where Beauty Is Enshrined

A Poem by Paris Hlad

eWhere Beauty Is Enshrinedf

(Or The Masterpiece That Is My Mother’s Face)

If I shall never see again sweet love upon your face,

Nor in your eyes a holy lamp that led my heart to grace;

Then I shall paint a masterpiece of you within my mind;

And I shall hang it in a hall where beauty is enshrined

For yours is like no other face; no eyes are like your own;

And in that hall, your portrait shall in love be ever shown.
