I dream alone

Beneath the stars,

 

And though it's but a night,

 

I have those stars to wander in,

Not just the soft moonlight

 

I wake and rest

And rest to wake

 

Within what days I own,

 

I live and learn

And learn to live

 

The loves I’ve always known

 

I dream alone

But when it's time to sleep,

 

I have those stars

To slumber in,

 

So beautiful

And deep.
