Save The Last Word For Me

Save The Last Word For Me

A Poem by KeelyJane

Like a two steppin' tongue tango
Our 'I love you's' danced
Words can find rhythm
When hearts are less advanced

I love how short and simple this appears, and yet behind every line is a deeper meaning. The dance metaphor is beautifully crafted throughout the poem. I love the play on "Save the last dance for me" as you use it -- "Save the last word for me" well done!

Less advanced, as they have a better chance to find that special synchronicity. Nicely crafted.

Meaningful sort of relationship and you're right it takes two to tango to be in synchronized

Brief yet eloquent, such sweet metaphor and sentiment felt like honey on the tongue and danced upon the heart.

Words also enjoy doing the fox trot together. I enjoyed your tango dance metaphor here.

Each of their dance steps advance
as hearts follow Cupid's darts.
