One Brick at a Time

One Brick at a Time

A Poem by unclecharlie

Life is changing I'm full of spunk
All done with the drama and junk
I work but want to more then to just survive
My God once again I feel alive
Done with the solitude and life alone
I want to be the king and have a throne
The castle has not yet been built
But in my way things seem to tilt
I have a queen and she's just what I like
She'll look good on the back of my bike
End of the day the madness is all through
To help me relax she knows just what to do
So another chance I finally look
This is the last chapter in Life's little book
For now we may be pinching each dime
Building the castle one brick at a time
But one day we'll look back and see
The built by you and me.
