The Intersecting Orbit of Planetary Bodies

The Intersecting Orbit of Planetary Bodies

A Poem by The Pilgrim

There is no other choice to be made.
The Universe has made it clear that
you are mine and
I am yours
until the end of time,
until the stars fade to nothing
and the constellations burn out.
We are two atoms of the same star;
star-crossed soulmates.

It was written in our blood
and forged in our hearts
that we should find each other,
that we must never stop searching
until our eyes behold each other.
Finally, I have beheld you.
I stand, gazing up into the light
of your galaxies,
and I am irrevocably lost in you,
and I wonder, beyond hope,
if you are lost in me, too.
