i love the idea at the ending for us all to be modern day hereo's instead of reading about the fictional type . what i can say is that i liked hero's like superman and iron man and most of the dc and marvel comics hero's . but the hero's i've always like most are the hero's of the dark the anti hero's like . itachi uchia from naruto . kuwgama misogo from medeka box . hero's like lelouch lampenbourge from code gease those hereo's knew that the world could'nt be changed with pretty words alone , but i seemed to have strayed far off my topic . anyhow i sometimes love the anti hero's more than the hero's themselves . good piece thought inspiring my friend

There is a lot here that I have heard over and over about heroes, so you might want to watch that. It is really hard to come up with a new idea when talking about heroes, so I will not be such a dick about that. However, your word choice and structure gave the piece a rhythm akin to a ballad, very similar to those that were written in ancient times, so points for that.

You have a valid point in both angles, I could seek a more interesting layout while achieving the same impact if not more. These are very good ideas and I receive them well. Thank you Junior please when time is available shed more light if you feel on other works. I am in a slump now, but I will make it to your works soon. please shoot me a read request if you feel like it, I try to attend to those who ask first. Much thanks again.

I liked this a lot, it's very true that heroes are among us and not just the comic book characters. It's just a shame that most of the real heroes go unnoticed and unthanked. The line where you wrote 'heroes must place the many above the few' made me think. Must they? What if the many are wrong, and are persecuting the few? Surely then the hero should place the few above the many. Nice piece overall!

I hadn't thought about the few over many idea. I wanted to convey the needs of the many over the few, I tend to think that many suffer while few are blessed so to speak. I must give thought to this line. I can't tell you how much help that was, nor how much I appreciate reviews that have depth. You help me to examine my work with more detail. You're assistance, ideas, and opinions are ever welcomed as much as needed here with me.

It's true that there are very few in society who are blessed, while the masses are struggling yet never have their voices heard. That fits in with most countries all over the world. When I read it, I was thinking more of the persecution of minority groups, which obviously didn't quite fit in with that idea. I see where you're coming from now :)

I hope it keeps it's integrity in my doing so. I am glad you pointed it out, I tend to think one shouldn't have to explain their intent behind a piece like this, and the fact I did means it failed to express it's ideal correctly. So thanks again.

At first, this made me thing of Five for Fighting's song "Superman" - even heroes are flawed, only human. Then I saw that this was the point - Heroes are human; they should be all of us. The pictures were well placed and added a depth to the piece. Well done!

I have to admit "Superman" by Five for Fighting was one of the things I listened to along with Crash Test Dummies "Superman's song" and others while writing this. In the end though I had to ask a friend on here for a music suggestion. I think she gave a pretty good one. This was the longest piece I have wrote in quite some time. Most of that time was spent in graphics.
I have to do some reviewing today, yesterday got took up with this project. Hope you're doing good. I am going to try to stop by and see what you've got going on.

Excellent read and write, Brother Christopher. Love comic book heroes, but in reality we need to unite and realize we the people have the power.

I will admit at the beginning, I liked it, but I wasn't very into it. I am not a huge fan of comic books and I assumed that was what the piece was. However, thankfully, I gave it my time and you pulled me in at the end. The comparison with a fictional character so many idolize and real heroes is humbling. While so many people worship and dress up like Batman or Superman, what are they really doing to change the world? You don't have to be at a site of tragedy or featured on the front page to be a hero, you just have to follow your heart, do what you know is right, especially when no one else will.
I particularly like that only the last stanza has rhyme. It breathes life into that specific part of the piece, it drives the meaning home.
Nice job, good read. Thank you for sharing.

I was worried people might overlook it due to the obvious beginning theme. i am not sure though I could change it and still achieve the effect i wanted in the ending. I love your thoughts on heroes though. Why do we idolize these symbols rather then the idea they represent. We should be honoring those who do selfless acts and push in their own small way to make humanity better.
Thank you for such great insight.

Christopher
