An Evening Rose

An Evening Rose

A Poem by Vaishnav
"

Well, I think the scene is self-explanatory. It's a girl playing the "he loves me, he loves me not" game.

"
An Evening Rose
"He loves me!"
said she, in the scarlet sun,
in her secretive spot,
waiting for none.
And poor old me
how long I could have run,
"He loves me not,"
there goes another one.
And she laughs as I cry
As she screams, I'm just dry
And as my last limb is torn and thrown into the sky
she screams, "He loves me!"
