An Evening RoseA Poem by VaishnavWell, I think the scene is self-explanatory. It's a girl playing the "he loves me, he loves me not" game.An Evening Rose "He loves me!"said she, in the scarlet sun, in her secretive spot, waiting for none. And poor old me how long I could have run, "He loves me not," there goes another one. And she laughs as I cry As she screams, I'm just dry And as my last limb is torn and thrown into the sky she screams, "He loves me!"
