I am ME

A poem that shows the feelings of a follower that turns into a leader

Letting everyone tell me who I should be

Following every word spoken exactly

Holding my own thoughts back

Being as quiet as I can be

Just another sheep

 

I do not want to be alone anymore

I want to be who I really am

Walking in my own lines

Being happy again

 

Taking everything in consideration now

Not following every word, just a few

Showing my own thoughts as a person

Keeping my voice heard over fear

No longer am a just a sheep

 

I am everything I wanted to be

I let my heart make my happy

I show who I am now

I am ME
