Sunday’s at Santos Montreal

A Poem by Vanessa Pavelock

The soprano sax sings out “Summertime”
Red pencil skirts and scotch circulate
the space like notes to the song
Someone in the kitchen is humming along
But someday they’ll be the one singing
Wings spread wide towards the sky.

Sounds like someone has plans to get out of this place. Hope it works out.

PS: you might consider making space and like one word.
