Beautiful Things

Beautiful Things

A Poem by vanessi
"

These are ten things I think are beautiful to me.

"

The melody flows
alongside the words;
A new song has been born.
You see the little guy
reaching for the cookies;
Help out one of your own.
You hear the pitter-patter
of raindrops on your window;
Open it and taste them.
Splash it, or not
you see yourself anyways;
The reflection in the water.
It's grace can be shown
as it soars in the sky;
The pretty bird says good-bye.
Loud booming noises,
lightning hitting the ground;
A thunderstorm is happening.
It stops it's crawling,
stands up and starts;
The baby's first steps.
Either in the morning or evening,
it goes up and down;
A sunset and sunrise.
No one goes to anymore
and it's been left alone;
An abandoned beach.
Waves crashing here and there
blue covers the deep lands;
Oceans keep getting better.
Now, there is ten things
that are beautiful in their own ways;
More in the world, never stopping.

Punctuation is important, even in poetry... save for the pieces that do not need it. I fear this one could have used a few periods and semi-colons... however, a delightful piece. I especially liked the feel of splashing raindrops. Cheers.
