Warped

Warped

A Poem by Victoria

Play me a warped Cinderella
and that’s the truth.

You stole my heart and my shoes
and left me in rags of us.

Those promises hang in tatters off my shoulders.

Your laugh, the sweat on my chest
weighing me down,
pulling me to the floor
so I can clean up the mess we so willingly made.

That’s how a prince treats his princess.

Don’t believe the hype ladies.

We will never be good enough.
