The Year It Rained Napalm and Ignorance

The Year It Rained Napalm and Ignorance

A Poem by Julius Whitfield

say no more. i wouldn't want to know what's been tinkering with the words you were going to call upon from what your mind was thinking. your eyes are full of tears and your limbs like your body are trembling with scourging fright. sadness running down your nose and i can see you want to escape this. if you go, will you promise to not diminish this? the feelings, the sight, the emotions all as a lesson learned. from now on, tell me you'll think for yourself. letting go of the despair you brought. punishment is to castigate with notions that your purpose is better than it used to be. i watch you listen to your conscience rather than anybody else. did your pride evolve? or did you evaluate that things that you thought was here. wasn't pride all you had at the beginning of our demonstration. i'm letting you go...but, say no more. i wouldn't want to know what's been tinkering with the words you were going to call upon from what your mind was thinking. your eyes are full of tears and your limbs like your body are trembling with scourging fright. sadness running down your nose and i can see you want to escape this. if you go, will you promise to not diminish this? the feelings, the sight, the emotions all as a lesson learned. from now on, tell me you'll think for yourself. letting go of the despair you brought. it may start to hurt, but it'll slowly soothe and wend, unlike the despair you brought.
