Don't Forget

Don't Forget

A Poem by Gem

Oft’ I sense gloom and despair.

Oft’ I feel tormented.

And feel that hope is nowhere,

But to His arms I’m lead.

Oft’ I cry “Daddy help me!”

Oft’ I’ll feel all alone.

And so often sad I’ll be.

But He’s still on the throne.

Oft’ billows sweep around me.

Oft’ anguish my soul feel.

And dark the valley I see,

But still before Him kneel.

Oft’ ‘tis when I feel this way,

Oft’ I felt neglected.

And ‘twas my own fault I say,

From Him n’er offended.

Oft’ was for selfish reason.

Oft’ was for  lack of faith.

And from the bait I’d  bitten

From lies from that dark wraith.

Oft’ now I am reminded,

Oft’ now I will praise Him!

And not from sin be blinded,

From Him, my blessings brim.
