Honey

Honey

A Poem by Amethyst Rose

The Sun blooms in a field of flowers
Busy bees weaving about in the rainbow of hues
Sweet nectar drip slowly from humming's breaks
Wind whispering though strong branches
Forming melodies of candied notes
And when the sun hides in the night skies
My chest hollows with the fading light
My syrup tears, thick with buried sadness
Lapped up by internal beasts
As I hope for another glimpse of happiness

Powerful description led the reader to the hope for some sort of happiness. I like how you used nature to make the emotion come alive in the words. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
