Pretty Flowers

Pretty Flowers

A Poem by Amethyst Rose

Dainty flowers swaying softly in the breeze

Curving delicately in the air

Lovely fragrances blowing past

Sinking pain in my chest

Surrounded by this simple beauty

Eyes filled with wondrous nature

They spill over with burdened sadness

The dreadful disconnect for joviality

Feeling not the of the petals

Or the chill of soft breezes

Only the heat of the hell that consumes me

Forever present and never possible to disregard

I like how you use the language. Making the reader fall into internal and string thoughts. The above lines stood out. Last line was very good. Left the reader with something to ponder. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
