The Sorrowful

The Sorrowful

A Poem by Amethyst Rose

The stars are dull in darker eyes

Rain outshine the sun in a mindset clouded

Song falls deaf in the ear while the mind screams away

Love is saturated and painful in a heart composed of broke pieces

Weeping eyes grow redder in the darkness

Cheeks look flushed against the paleness of depression

Mirroring the dark matter in your brain into a solemn reality

You awake to nightmares from vivid dreams

And loose light in a never ending hopelessness

As the sorrows swallow you whole.
