A December 31

A December 31

A Poem by vidhya bharathi
"

Year ends, Year begins. So does hope.

"

As much lovable as a blue sky

You are welcomed heartily; ah, why?

With you I breathe away my dear dream

But with dreamful ease than it did seem!

A year more torn and calendars change

Yet you lone Dec 31, you are strange!

Everyone loves you, be you bad or good

As a sunshine among the wood!

As if kissing goodbye to a melancholy

You cheer up people whole heartedly!

With you a magic spring you bring

Giving a divine and holy wing!

Promises and prayers are at peaks

Keeping god busy for weeks

Rolling up sleeves and dreaming lies

Dec 31, you open up the blissful skies!

Knowing that the lies wouldn’t stay

Not even past the April or May

Every year you advertise a hope that never falls

Bringing up joy among my pals!

Yay, Dec 31! I wonder your arousal of spark

Waves and voices till the grave

You allure and charm every year

That takes away dreadful fears!

Diaries may end up with you! Nay,

You always spring up a new way!

By all the kings of heaven, you must be crowned

Letting all other days frowned!

In all the awe of your charming face, Alas!

I forgot to dress me up in my deepest desires!

Nay, I wouldn’t do it that way!

Let it be for others I say!

Dear, Sweet December 31

You make me fall every time!

If ever I was to whisper a prayer,

Let me be the same as you,

Loved, admired and cheered heartily!!!
