I live

I live

     I LIVE

I live with my scars,
A poignant reminder of the pain you have wrought,
In the name of love you tore me to shreds
With every precise incision you rendered me broken.
Punishment for daring to fly to close to the sun.

I live with my distrust,
Because it is my armour,
In a world that is rife with thorns,
I was so young to learn ,
Exactly what a smile could hide.

I live with my regrets,
That were sired by your betrayal,
Regret that I was'nt wiser,
Regret that i didn't percieve your smile as a guise,
Before I followed you blindly to be burnt at the stake.

I live proudly with my triumph,
Over your relentless need to break me,
I soar high now basking in the sun,

Too thick skinned to be scorched,
Too much older to ever be that naive again.

Yup! Your right, every-thing teaches us a new and new lesson of the life whether with the worst time or the good but it's foresure that everything what time brings in life is what that helps us in future dealing with the situations right... because every second brings happiness and the funniest thing is that it also brings the sadness too so, it's all on us how we deal with it and live with it, accept it in our life to live the life with peace because "peace is not what that comes easily in everyone's life, it takes time and times takes moments and moments brings memories and the memories always make life."

This write's, am damn sure, comes out from your real life, I can feel the feelings of yours that's transformed into the words. I hope everything's cool there. It's seemed you've passed through much pain and regrets in your life because such kinda pieces only those one can write who come passed through such kinda worst situations.

May God bless you!

Words mirroring insecurity that rises to strength. I respect your showing of inner, toiled emotions. I could relate to this and I look forward to reading more of your work.

Oh thank you so much!!!!
We really learn from our mistakes, that's it. Oftentimes, when we got hurt, we blame people and we regret for something we have done. But we must remember that through those mistakes we learn and we become wiser and stronger. Every mistake is a teacher that teaches us a lesson...

Thank you for this remarkable piece, Vidya.

Wow I feel I learned a great deal here:) Some pains we live with and sometimes we get burned, But we stand in a victory cause we learned from some dumb foolish mistake . It easy to mess up. But the mess can be divine in the end:)

Smilesssssssssssssss it was my pleasure but I thank you:)
I love the last stanza the most, because it brings hope. I think it says that, regardless of scars, distrust, and regrets, you can still triumph, which is what I liked the most. Wonderful write!
