This pretty much speaks for itself.

                        Ask Me

 

If you had asked me to,

Instead of lain down the law,

We would not be here,

Like two gladiators,

Trying to behead each other.

 

I understand logic,

But when phrased like a command,

Defies my logic,

And my inner rebel takes offence,

I am yours but you do not own me.

 

You should know better ,

Than to enrage this woman,

My claws are unsheathed,

And I am spitting enough venom,

To eviscerate you on the spot.

 

I am not a damsel in distress,

Who is too naive to recognize danger,

Right now I dare anyone to test this raging harpee,

And you would be wise,

To heed the sparks shooting from my eyes.

 

And disappear from my general vicinity,

Until the storm has abated,

And the flaming inferno cooled,

And next time to save yourself,

From getting your eyebrows singed,

Ask me to, don't command me to.

I needed to vent and I did and I am as chipper as ever now.

Yep, I agree that this one indeed does speak for itself!! Writing is a good vent and allows one to regain perspective after letting off steam! He should certainly have no doubt as to how you feel now and heed your warning!!!
