I'll never see you again

I'll never see you again

A Poem by Victory H. Izevbekhai

I look at the stars
Its so crouded so i single one out
And set it apart
I try to grasp it
Stretch out an arm
But 'tis too far
No way I'm reaching that star
Makes me think of you
How much i long for you
Day, night, and 12 at noon
In my living room
I sit and brood
An ashtray, some shots of booze
An arm's lenght away
And yet it's like you're a world away
I reach out and everyday,
Farther away you pull away
But i get it
Your lips dance with someone else's
And i regret it
How i got to fall for you
I felt it,
Felt the pain, yeah, but now I'm sane
Knowing there's no loss or gain
And for my sake
I'll never see you again.
