Fourteen Lines of Moderate Potential

Fourteen Lines of Moderate Potential

A Poem by Tara

Here, where the water meets the shore
lies the rustle of potential.

Here, the smooth washed stones
breathe their oceanic poetry.

Here, i dig and here, I cry;
purposeful searching.

I sense I lost myself here
several lifetimes ago.

Here, where the water meets the shore,
I crouch, ridiculous

Neon pail and shovel
poised, ready to uncover

The ancient secrets buried
somewhere among these grainy sands.

the title brought me to this poem. it is a wonderful title and the poem, i'm glad to find, lived up to the title. it's a wonderful, quiet, serene poem full of potential. it mad me want to be there where the sea meets the shore.
