and then it went

and then it went

A Poem by vision70
"

based on a thrilling true story

"

for a trembling moment- I could not tell

if it was me, or the world that trembled-

The cars beside us

lit up the bus vivid

like a discotheque;

cancer-neon red,

urgent and virile.

and for that moment

we, the passengers, were illuminated

with scathing, bubbling life.

the sort of intensity

only gorged

upon in movie screens;

powerfully sour, with a metallic fury.

like heat or drama. or touching tongue to battery.

it emblazoned into my eyelids, ego;

and then it went.
