the odd card solitude

the odd card solitude

A Poem by vivekanand

i am new to the card game
for long,
i have been
the third card
which never joined the serial couple..

lost in a sea of numbers
and alien warriors,
i am the joker
in a game where no one got
the numbers right
from the beginning
to the end of time ....

i cannot tell my yesternight
                                    apart
from the night before..
and the nights preceding that..

for all of them
are bland,
painful
and full of stars
that belong in someone else's sky
and will never know
the odd card solitude

.
. ah, an absolutely moving song of isolation ... and as a card lover ... i can tell you that the imagery is exquisite ... brilliantly written and rendered, dear V. ... sometimes i find that solitude is an affliction ... and healing from it ... or rather ... away from it ... is challenging ... but also a compulsion ... for the affliction torments and tears one apart beyond measure ... just my thoughts after reading this powerfully potent poem ...
